Witnesses sought to Sevenoaks burglary

    A man has been arrested by officers investigating a burglary in which thieves targeted an ATM at a Riverhead, Sevenoaks bank.


    Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are investigating the suspicious incident at Barclays Bank, The Square, Riverhead, Sevenoaks, which took place just after 2.30am on Friday 1 November.
    A considerable amount of force was used to try and gain access to the money inside the machine and the thieves left the scene with a small quantity of cash.

    Man arrested
    A 27-year-old man from the London area has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been bailed until 12 February pending further enquiries.
