Street Cleansing Supervisor

  1. Sevenoaks District Council provides Cleansing Services across the District through its Direct Services Organisation. Sevenoaks Direct Services is proud to have high standards in collection of refuse, recycling and street cleaning services. You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the Street Cleansing services.

    Your regular duties will involve the allocation of personnel and vehicles to ensure daily street cleansing operations are completed safely and satisfactorily. You will be responsible for updating street cleansing round schedules as we strive for continuous improvement.
    You must be able to work in a team and on your own using your initiative to ensure full customer satisfaction. Your duties will include use of computers to keep records and to send/receive e-mail.
    With a working knowledge of vehicle operator licensing, driver licensing and working hours’ legislation you will assist the Transport Manager in ensuring legal compliance. You will be responsible for matters of staff training, induction, appraisal, control, discipline and recruitment for staff reporting to the post.

    You will have good knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and related legislation. Your written and spoken communication skills will allow you to communicate effectively with customers, crews, managers, and other supervisors.
