Make a positive difference: take on an apprentice

  1. Taking on a talented young apprentice can deliver real benefits to help your business to grow. In many cases we’ll provide funding to cover up to 100 percent of the training costs.

In addition, if you haven’t recruited an apprentice in the last year you could be entitled to a grant of at least £1,500. KCC also provides grants of up to £2,000 to fund an apprentice aged 18-24 who has been out of work for three months or more.

Getting started is easy. The process is simple and you’ll be supported the whole way through. We have a dedicated team who will assist you from your initial enquiry to finding a college or training provider and through to the recruitment of your apprentice if you require it.

Kent has an excellent apprenticeship reputation. To date we have over 10,000 apprentices; this is well above the national average for the recruitment of apprentices and we are the leader within London and the South East.

We work closely with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and we are in partnership with training provider networks across Kent.

Businesses with more than 100 employees: please call 08000 150 600 or visit www.apprenticeships.org.uk

Businesses with less than 100 employees: please call 0800 1018224 or visit www.kent.gov.uk/kentjobs4kyp as we are working on behalf of NAS.

We’re ready to help, so do get in touch.
