Council raises the roof

  1. Sevenoaks District Council has invested £75,000 in a new roof for Edenbridge Leisure Centre.


    After nearly thirty years the existing flat roof had come to the end of its life. It was constantly leaking, impacting on customers, while incurring costly repairs to the Council.

    The new roof, which covers the sports hall, crèche, gym and squash court, is a made from a combination of plastic and fiberglass and has a life expectancy of some 30 years. Work was finished on Friday (19 September).

    Cllr Roddy Hogarth, the Council's Cabinet member for leisure says:
    Edenbridge Leisure Centre of operated by Sencio Community Leisure on behalf of the Council.
