    Kitten season has caused a surge in abandoned cats in Kent, according to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Brands Hatch.The rescue centre has seen almost a 20 per cent increase in the number of cat and kitten admissions this summer compared to the same period last year.They currently have around 40 cats waiting for their forever home.The increase is due to 'kitten season', the rise in litters during the summer when a cats' instincts cause them to seek out a mate.This causes hundreds of unwanted...
