    Local community action has saved the Timberden fields, after the Area of Outstanding Beauty was set to be destroyed with poison. A Kent Live campaign to save the Sevenoaks beauty spot prompted an overwhelming response from the community. Working parties organised by the Shoreham Society tackled the ragwort with garden forks, trowels and a specialist ragwort removal device.
