The first weekend in August (Sunday 7th) sees the legendary trombonist Chris Barber
return with his fabulous 11 piece Big Band for an unforgettable evening of Jazz & Blues. The selection will included his favourite music from his signature tune Bourbon Street Parade to music by Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet and the soulful blues style of Miles Davis.

The following week, Sunday 14th, sees Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen perform at the open air venue. Kenny is now a genuine institution and probably the most successful jazz trumpet player this side of the Atlantic. His landmark recordings of the 1960s such as Midnight in Moscow earned him a worldwide following that survives to this day. Don’t delay, seats are limited!
And finally but by no means least, Stacey Kent and her Musicians return to Hever on Sunday 21st August after an absence of several years. A best selling member of the Blue Note roster of recoding artists, Stacey boasts six best-selling albums, a string of awards including the British Jazz Award, The BBC Jazz Award for ‘best vocalist’ and Album of the Year.
She has the charm to burn, a smile that could give you hope in February and sings like nobody’s business” The Wall Street Journal
The Theatre provides reserved and covered seating. More details can be found on this and the Summer Festival 2011 at www.heverfestival.co.uk, or on Facebook.
