    A Sevenoaks charity is fighting to save a crucial service it has been offering the town's older residents after revealing its funding has run out. For the last two and a half years, Age UK Sevenoaks & Tonbridge has provided a befriending service to elderly and isolated people. The programme was initially set up as a two-year pilot scheme for the west Kent region thanks to funding of £200,000 from Kent County Council.
