    A narrow lane just over three miles from Biggin Hill has been named the most dangerous rural road in the country for cyclists. Chalkpit Lane is a steep, narrow road with a hairpin bend that runs into Oxted and it was the site of eight cycle accidents in seven years. The statistics come from research by Mapmechanics, a digital mapping company that analysed Department for Transport data on the number of accidents reported to police.
