  1. Our Housing team focuses on customer experience and initiative. As key part of this, you’ll seek to establish effective working relationships with Landlords, letting agents, developers, and our external partners. Through this, you’ll seek to improve access to, and increase take up of sustainable private sector options within the Housing team.

You’ll be the first point of contact for those wishing to take part in the Council’s private rented housing scheme and you’ll look to actively promote the various private sector accommodation procurement initiatives to all customers.

In addition to this, you’ll look to liaise with landlords to guide them through the process from vetting and ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities to ensuring that accommodation is fully compliant.

If you have experience of the private sector housing market and contracts, you’ll know it takes confidence in your communication and negotiation as well as working effectively to deadlines.
