    More than a third of payphones across Kent are at risk of being removed.Communications giant BT has written to authorities across the county proposing to take away around 430 out of 1,160 devices – which is 37 per cent.The company says the phones have hugely declined in use in the past decade after the rise in popularity of mobiles.A spokesman for BT said: "BT is carrying out an ongoing review of payphones which we believe are no longer needed."We have written to the local...
