    COUNCIL chiefs have endorsed the death of a village pub after its owners were given the green light to develop the 400-year-old watering hole into housing.Owners of The Vigo Inn, near Stansted, applied to turn the 15th century public house into two homes and five holiday units earlier this year and were given the seal of approval by the council last week.The application was met with anger from villagers, but after amending the planning documents to involve just two homes and two holiday lets, ...
