Thanks to everyone in Otford participating in the village email scheme that provides an @otford.net mailbox for an individual, family, organisation or business. Last year, 2010-11, the scheme raised £368.00 which has just been passed to Otford Parish Council to help fund the Communi-TREE Planting Day taking place on Saturday 5th November 10:30am - 12:30pm at Hale Lane Recreation Ground. This has been organised by the Parish Council with North West Kent Countryside Partnership and lottery funding support too. To date, the Otford community email scheme has raised over £1,800 providing Paper Re-cycling facilities, support for: Otford Over 60's Club, Play Place Ltd - Youth Facilities, Telston Lane Memorial Bench and Parish Council funds.
