Kent Police has issued CCTV footage showing a man wanted in connection with an attempted robbery.
Officers were called to the Co-op store in The Row in New Ash Green, near Sevenoaks, at 6:30am on 24 September. A man dressed as a security worker had entered the staff area of the store through an open door and then threatened the manager with a gun.
The offender was reported to have asked to be shown where the safe was, but the manager explained he had no access to the safe without a second keyholder being present. The offender then asked for money from the till but was not given any. He left the scene empty-handed on foot.

Kent Police officers conducted a thorough search but failed to find the would-be robber.
The force has now issued CCTV showing a man they wish to trace and requested the public’s help in furthering their enquiries. The man is described as a slim white male, around 6ft tall and in his early 50s.
