AGREED MOVE FOR DYNES ROAD KEMSING POST OFFICE & SUNDAY OPENING
    • Move to Kemsing News, 1 The Parade, Dynes Road, Kemsing
    • Post Office services open an extra 37 hours a week
    • Modern open-plan retail environment
    • Open seven days a week
    • Wide range of Post Office® services available

The Post Office has agreed to relocate Dynes Road Kemsing Post Office to Kemsing News, 1 The Parade, Dynes Road, Kemsing, TN15 6RE on Wednesday 1 Julyat 1pm.

This will be a modern local-style branch delivering Post Office services from an open plan till at the shop counter instead of from a separate screened counter. : Monday to Thursday: 8am – 8pm; Friday & Saturday: 8am - 9pm; Sunday: 8am – 5pm.

This would offer customers an extra 37 hours of Post Office services every week including all-day Sunday and Saturday afternoon. The branch would also open significantly earlier and close much later every day, making it more convenient to visit.

The current branch at 8 The Parade, Dynes Road, Kemsing, Sevenoaks TN15 6RE will close on Tuesday 30 June at 5.30pm. An alternative branch during the transfer is:
    · Kemsing Post Office, St Edith Road, Kemsing, TN15 6ND
    · Otford Post Office, 6 Sevenoaks Road, Otford, TN14 5PB
    · Riverhead Post Office, Day Lewis Chemists, 2 The Square, Riverhead, TN13 2AA

The move is part of major modernisation programme across the Post Office network designed to make it easier for customers to do business, through longer opening hours and modern open plan environments.

Inside, the new branch will be in line with Post Office specifications, making sure there is sufficient space for the new style local Post Office to operate alongside the retail offer. We are working closely with the new operator in the internal layout and some existing fixtures and fittings will be re-aligned or removed as appropriate, to ensure there is clear access into the premises and sufficient space is provided for customers to move around.
